I am a regular follower of star rating program. this is really nice initiative taken by MPCB. however I am curious about The action Taken against the industries which are rated as most pollutant industries by the program? Is possible to make it available online? or else where do I get the information for the same?

I have been to the regional office Pune, and asked about the same. but sadly they don’t have any information about This. surprisingly the regional office don’t even know about the program. ” the program is run by the head office, Mumbai. Therefore we don’t have any information about this neither we took any action regarding the star rating” this was The answer given by the regional officer.

I think, MPCB needs to issue notices to the most polluted industries i.e 1 Star Rating industry and should close dfown the indutryif not improved even after receipt of notice and it should be publiclly available under this rating programme itself.
